Where can I find a gummibar plush toy?

January 31, 2010 - 8:54 am 1 Comment

Hello, I looked everywhere for a Gummibar plush toy for my baby and couldn’t find anyone who’s selling it. The only website that sells them (Taymai) are out of stock on this item. If anyone has any information where I can get this item, please let me know. Thank you!

Have you tried looking on ebay? There is one listed here

I need to get a musty, moth ball odor out of some new plush animals so I can sell them. Any suggestions?

January 12, 2010 - 6:37 am 4 Comments

I have a bunch of new-with-tags plush animals which belong to my mother. I need to sell them but they have an odor which is musty/moth ball. What can I do to get rid of this smell?

Put them in plastic bags, sprinkle with baking soda. Seal the bag and shake good so the baking soda gets all over the animals. Let sit for several days, if possible let them sit in sunlight. Brush or vacuum the soda away.

Hi there,
I am looking for a small plush toy/finger puppet (whatever, as long as it’s under $10) for a secret Santa? It needs to be in the Albany or close to (eg Glenfield, Westgate etc) area. If anyone could let me know what shop? Already planning on looking in Natures Discovery & Natures Window.

If you decide to order online - this site has finger puppets and a 25% off coupon code this week.

What do i do if i purchase one webkinz plush and got two of the same pets with one code?

December 27, 2009 - 10:32 pm 1 Comment

I have a problem. I recently purchased a webkinz baby penguin plush. When I signed her in I went home and discovered I had received two virtual baby penguins! They have the same name and the same gender! The only difference is their profiles. I received two pet specific gifts and double the kinzcash was awarded, it was like I had adopted two of the same pets with one code! Someone help! D:

I think you need two codes. One code for each pet.

Does anyone have any really good crafts for the Webkinz plush?

December 14, 2009 - 1:42 pm 2 Comments

I am looking for plush crafts, especially food and furniture. NO CRAFTY CRITTERS, please!

Do you mean like homemade things you can make with them? My little sister (who’s 10) and some of the daycare children I watch make all kinds of furniture and things for them with household items. Those pink plastic bracelets can be put around the Webkinz necks like a collar. A shoe box can have scraps of fabric or washcloths folded up to make a bed. Empty margarine or butter tubs can be decorated with markers or glued on things to make little seats or stools. Bottle caps from things like a nestea bottle can work as plates. Hope this helps!

How do you make plush/stuffed toys?

December 2, 2009 - 6:37 am 2 Comments

i’m interested in making my own plush toys from scratch, but not sure how to start. i think i have all the necessary materials and i want to get started soon. i’m planning on making some to give as gifts this holiday season. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for answering! =)

You will need a pattern, go to the fabric store and look through the books. Get the pattern, and read the back for suggestions on choices of kinds of materials you should use, what to stuff it with, what else to buy.
All you do is cut out the animal, iron the seams and the pieces, and sew it together, right sides together except when told by the pattern to do otherwise. Leave a couple inches of seam open [choose a long seam and be sure and knot off each side so you can't rip it] to stuff the animal with fiberfill. Turn the animal right side out, and Hand stitch the open seam closed, and you are done.
Be sure and do any embellishments to the animal before you fill it, like embroidering faces, adding buttons. the pattern will tell you when and how.
Their are many choices of material, acrylic plush, chenille, cotton or poly cotton with Xmas designs on it. Adults might like some gold or silver lame. Velvet is hard to work with, but would be pretty.
You can choose to make your animal look real, or fanciful.
The material should be something that does not wrinkle or crush easily, and should not be see-through the fiberfill and seams would show.
And don’t forget you can dress the animal too, in a theme that would please the potential owner. and the animal could be part of the theme. The person loves to cook? Dress a cute piggy or a chicken animal in a chef’s apron and toque. .
