Why are plastic plants and stuffed animals not alive?
Using the idea that all cells are produced from others cells, why are plastic plants and stuffed animals not alive?
They don;t have alive cells
they don;t have cells

My mom saved all my toys from when I was younger, and she recently brought them over to me to give to my kids. But I was wondering - will it be okay? The toys are mostly stuffed animals and dolls - nothing with lead paint, I am pretty sure.
They have been sitting in bags in my mom’s storage room for about 20 years. I smelled them and they smell okay, not too musty but not brand new either. Most of the toys are either stuffed animals or Cabbage Patch dolls. So, what do you think? Will it be okay?
Was the storage room damp? If so, toss them. You cannot eliminate mold spores. If it was dry, just keep the ones that are clearly machine washable.
I do have stuffed toys that are old that do not smell and were kept dry, but I won’t give them to my cousin’s daughter to play with until she is at least 5 since they can’t be thoroughly washed and dried. However, her mom is going to put them up on the wall to decorate her stuffed animal mecca (toys include an original Snuffleupagus as well as a large monkey).
My suggestions are overly cautious. If it were not for my brother’s dust mite allergy, my advice would have been quite different.
edited to add: I find the one poster’s comment interesting. Your child shouldn’t play with the toys, but that you should donate them to Salvation Army for another child? Does that even make sense? Heck, we buy toys from garage sales all the time - just want to be sure that you can wash and dry them. Do not donate toys you would not allow your own children to play with.
I am making a handmade stuffed doll for my cousin’s first birthday and i want to leave him a little message in the doll. Is there any place that still sell the device that allows u record your voice and put into stuff animals?
build a bear workshop
If my stuffed animals come to life, and my other toys, what do I do to make sure they dont become violent and want to kill me?
should I disarm my action figures?
I stay awake a lot at night thinking about this, and on some occasions I hear a "pitter patter" on the hard wood floors at night and a "scurrying" in my closet, And, sometimes the kitchen knives look out of place, and the damn remote is always in the wrong spot!
No, I do not have insomnia!
I would cage them securely at night. These things are dangerous. My sons stuffed frog comes to life at night and scares the crap out of me. My son says it’s nice, but those big glassy eyes creep me out. so now he has to lock him up in the dog cage each night. Sometimes he gets out…..I’m starting to suspect my younger son’s piggy bank….
I want to start a line of small stuffed animals to sell at trade shows with an eye towards selling on the Internet and at various retailers.
I have the sketches, but do not know where you get such a line of items manufactured. Does anyone know this?
I have tried a LARGE variety of the kind of resources that come to mind immediately - yellow pages, etc. But…nada.
Thanks very, very much for your time.
try sites like alibaba.com, should probably be able to find someone oversees to make it for you.
Also, you could create a "request for proposal" document and throw it up on http://www.whyabe.com Look around for companies on the net that can manufacture the products for you, then invite them to respond to your request for proposal on WhyAbe.com
Does anyone know of a store (online or real store) that sells really big stuffed animals like the ones you see at fairs? Im talking about those really big stuffed animals!
right now for valentines, wal mart has some really big ones in
I have 5 children and we have accumulated LOTS of stuffed animals over the years from family and friends for birthdays and christmas, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do with all these animals that will make my children feel good about getting rid of them? We had a garage sale and tried to sell some of them, but people just don’t tend to buy stuffed animals very much. Any ideas would be great. Thank you!
Hospitals will, understandably, only take new stuffed animals due to the fact that the children are sick and can’t be exposed to certain things (like pet hair, bacteria, etc.).
But you can donate them to the salvation army or your local charity consignment shops or a church that helps the less fortunate.
I did that with my daughter’s things…and when we went to the zoo, she pointed at a baby that had on little socks and said that maybe those were her socks and she had warm feet because of us!! ![]()
Good luck! :))
My fiance and I have a few stuffed animals we want to put in our baby’s crib when she’s born but we’re afraid that it might not be good for her to have them in there with her. Is it ok? they’re just like a couple teddy bears.
I had some stuffed animals in my daughter’s crib, but when I put her to bed I would just move the animals to the foot of the crib. They don’t move too much as newborns so the chance of the stuffed animals causing any harm is not likely. Just don’t put large ones in the crib and keep them far from your baby’s face. Congrats on the baby and good luck!!!
Is there anywhere that has people who can find vintage stuffed animals, like from the eightie? I really need some help here.
