Kona Red

I recently ran across the Kona Red product which the company boasts to be the latest great superfruit (think Acai and Pomegranate). Is it true? Hell if I know!
I could not identify specifically where the product was manufactured but it is an island based company (Maui apparently) and it does contain Big Island coffee fruit. The claims are that the product makes use of the fruit which was previously discarded when coffee was produced. However in reading through the website I can’t be sure that the coffee bean is not discarded in the production of this product.
The company makes some good assertions and I like the concept but I remain a bit skeptical both because of the sugar.
