Is HD DVD really HD?

In a word: YES!

DVD video’s offer 572/480 lines of resolution while the HD DVD offers a full 1080i playback to make the most out of any 1080 capable television.

The only limiting factor is your display. If you have a display that is not capable of the full 1080 HD picture, than it won’t really matter just how far above your display the HD DVD is in terms of quality playback. This first step is to be sure that you have a HD capable TV. Then after that you can use one of the many HD DVD Players to get the most out of it.
