What’s the difference between an inkjet and laser?

The main difference between an inket printer and a laser printer is that the laser uses toner and heats it up to bond with the surface of the paper and an inkjet sprays a liquid ink on the surface of the paper and it is then absorbed into the paper.
So if you are looking to purchase, say a multifunction printer copier then you you can save a good amount of money by going with an inkjet since it uses less moving parts. Conversely, if you want a quicker printing machine, go with a laser since the whole process is much faster.
