What do you think of women and children bringing stuffed animals into the church service?

Some of the kids are bringing stuffed animals and crayons to play with during the service
If they are so young like under 5 its just to keep them quite. I see no issue..now a grown woman bringing one for herself is a bit odd.

If they’re too young to stay quiet, then I guess it’s not a problem.

Start a children’s church, separate from the main congregation…….you can be their teacher!!

Shouldn’t be a problem, you can teach Children with the use of their Playthings and crafts. And what better place to tie God and Jesus into toys and Arts than Church. As long as they don’t disturb the Service, what an AWESOME way to teach Children about Christ and His Love. Thanks for the question and have a great day!

Some children can’t sit quietly during church. I see nothing wrong with letting them have a stuffed animal, baby doll or even crayons and paper as long as it does not distract anyone from the service. When they are old enough to sit quietly and understand what is being taught then is the time to forbid them being brought to church.

really young kids have a hard time paying attention, especially with things they dont fully understand.
i see no problem with it

I prefer when they bring live ones. Especially tigers and alligators.

hmm you seem to have the same problem i did at a church service i went to last year. it was Christmas eve, we were dressed in our special outfits and were sitting behind a family of 4. the parents were dressed appropriately but the two boys kind of weren’t. one was in jeans, one was in pajamas, and they were both playing on their gameboys. me and my sisters were indignant, silently pointing them out to our parents. then my mom looked very disappointed with us and said ‘they’re here, aren’t they?" which made me feel awful! I was probably 1000x worse than them. they may not be dressed appropriately, or may not be paying attention, but THEY MADE THE EFFORT TO COME. i am still ashamed of myself and i can’t believe i wasn’t just happy that they were there. who cares what people wear, what they bring, etc, as long as they make the effort to come worship God? this family could have been opening presents, eating, watching tv, sleeping, etc, but instead they came to worship God, and Jesus (who is the real reason we have CHRISTmas anyway!)
point of the story is, they came to church, so of course it is okay! who are we to care if people bring stuffed animals and crayons to church??
God bless!
