Open Question: Is there a geological explanation t

There’s a two reasons that come to mind right off the bat…Firstly, Southern Africa is spack bam in the middle of a large tectonic plate and therefore very geologically stable.

Then secondly, most of the country, with the exception of a thin strip of coastline is over 1000m (3280 ft) above sea level and in many cases close to 2000m (6560 ft). So even though many areas are not very mountainous, they still have a very high elevation.

So taking into consideration these facts about Africa, even if the sea level rises by 1000 meters, most of South Africa would still be out of the water.
