Rock climbing requires physical as well as mental training. Physically you need to be flexible in your hips and shoulders. Training should include endurance, strength and burst. Climbing can be extremely demanding and requires a lot of practice and preparation. There are technical aspects that must be accomplished prior to heading out for the biggest mountain. No matter what the sport or the activity we all have to start somewhere. Many people think they merely spend an afternoon at the gym and suddenly they are ready to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Starting with an indoor climbing wall is smart, but you should realize that it takes more training than this to safely tackle outdoor climbs.
