Why I collect action figures.
Action figures are collected by individuals of all age groups, from 5 year old kids to your 70 year old retired grandad. The popularity of these amazing toys is absolutely impressive considering they simply are just toys.
So what are action figures? Action figures are toy representations of live characters. Whether these action figures are famous movie stars or characters out of the latest hollywood movie it seems that recently anybody can have an action figure made out of them (check out the Obama action figure).
What I never managed to understand was why people actually collect them. If you are a kid I can see why they would fascinate you. You are there in you garden recreating the latest battle full with sound effects, surrounded by your favorite heroes. However I doubt that if you are an adult, that this could be the reason. I can only think that you may have taken it as a hobby or that you wish to recreate the nostalgia of your childhood.
